Pastor Kyles is the second youngest of eleven (11) children born to Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Kyles. He was educated in the Barbour County public school system, and graduated from Bakerhill High School. Upon graduation, inspired by his love for the sport of basketball, he accepted an athletic scholarship to George C. Wallace Community College, Dothan Alabama. He earned a Bachelor's degree from Alabama State University, subsequently receiving a Master's degree from Touro International University, and pursuing a Master's Degree in Religious Studies from Birmingham Theological Seminary.  Pastor Kyles received his call into the preaching ministry while serving under the spiritual leadership of Pastor Ezekiel Pettway, Maggie Street Missionary Baptist Church; Montgomery, Alabama. He began his first pastorate at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama and later founded the People of God Community Church.

 

Under his leadership the church has witnessed growth in membership based on the biblical principle “Giving Abundantly and not Hesitating to Serve.” Additionally, PGCC supports key spiritual ministries: Children Center School for Disabled Children, Faith Rescue Missionary for Homeless Men, Homeless Women's-Children Shelter, and the Ronald McDonald House.

Serving in the United States Army, Pastor Kyles has earned the rank of Colonel and is currently assigned as the Director of Surface Maintenance. His officer military education includes the Quartermaster Officer Advance Course, Combined Arms Service Staff School, Command and General Staff College, the U.S. Army Combined Arms and Services Course, Military Intelligence, Medical Services, and the Operational Contract Support Course. Pastor (Colonel) Kyles is married to Marvernitha (Bene’) Kyles of Montgomery, Alabama. They have three beautiful daughters:  Antoya,  Trenae’, and  Breonna.
